Brief - Spoof - 25/9/09

At the last meeting with my group we set the task of getting three spoof ideas together based on the 10 films we have chose.

My Ideas for the Spoof

- Psycho shower scene - lego people - one lego man trys to stab the other lego man in the shower and it just makes a clinking noise.

- Die Hard hans gruber falling scene - lego man falls and when hits the ground it breaks apart - then he puts himself together again and walks off.

- James Bond - car chase and the girl does not get killed like usual - so he whistles for a cab and it runs her over


We came to a decision to go with one of Keiths ideas based around terminator and it is happens in the police station scene and basically the cop and terminator argue and the cop steals terminators line of 'I'll be back'.

Postmoderism in General

- Postmodernism is a concept that appears in a variety of areas ; art , architecture , music , film , literature , socialogy , communication , fashion and technology.

- It refers to a cultural, intellectual or artistic state lacking a clear hierachy or organising principle and encompassing extreme complexity , contridiction , ambiguity , diversity and interconnectedness.

Brief - Character Design - 22/9/09

For this brief i have to design 3 original characters ; a hero, a sidekick and a villian in response to the context

My context is Paleolithic.

Basic info about paleolithic

- Paleolithic is a era in the stone age

- It extends from 2.5 million years BC to 300,000 years BC

- Population evolves from homo habilis to homo erectus

- Use of stone / flint tools e.g. bow and arrow , hand axe and spear

- The economy was hunting and gathering plants

- Lived in caves and huts , mostly by rivers and lakes

- Travel in bands of people

Brief - Narrative - 21/9/09

For this brief we are in groups and have to create a spoof film / animation

Task 1

Create a spoof of an established film in 3d and it can't be longer than 1 minute

Task 2

Create a making of document that illustrates the journey from project conception to final piece

Task 3

Individual tasks - Blog - keep record of personal contribution to the project
- Genre switched posters and trailers
- Maya technical classes - a rigged, skinned and textured cartoon


Had a talk with group after brief and decided that each of us should think of 10 films to spoof . Are going share films in a meeting tomorrow
